Pricing
Credits buy artwork.
One drawing is up to 16 pieces that share a palette and a light, for 10 credits on Standard. The backgrounds for a tour cost the same. The price is shown before you draw, and a run that fails refunds itself.

20 credits when you sign up with an established GitHub account
Enough to draw your first artwork and lay out a whole tour before you decide whether to pay for anything, with no watermark on any of it: what you export on free credits is the same production-grade file a plan exports. Free credits go to established GitHub accounts, and everyone can buy credits. You can earn up to 30 free credits in total.
Run out mid-month? Top up from your dashboard at $20 for 100 credits, the same rate at any size. Top-up credits are yours to keep and never expire. If you are buying them every month, the next plan up is cheaper.
Drawings
What a plan buys.
One drawing is a batch of pieces, or the backgrounds for a tour of up to 4 slides. A 10-slide carousel is 4 drawings and a listing of 10 store screenshots is 3, so an app with all four is 9 drawings.
| Plan | Credits a month | Drawings | Apps, all four kinds | Left to redraw |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 100 | 10 | 1 | 1 drawing |
| Studio | 300 | 30 | 3 | 3 drawings |
| Max | 750 | 75 | 8 | 3 drawings |
| Free | 20 to start | 2 | Your first pieces and one tour's backgrounds. Listing that tour in the gallery earns 10 more, up to 30 in total. | |
Quality
Standard and High.
Standard
The tier every run starts on and the one the product is tuned for. 10 credits a drawing on the standard model. A plan unlocks 8 models to pick from, at 4 to 13 credits a drawing.
High
The same drawing at a higher resolution, for pieces you will show large or a background that fills a tall screen. From 17 to 23 credits a drawing, on the models that offer it, and it comes with a plan.
Whichever tier you pick, the exact cost is printed beside the button before you draw, and a background costs the same as a batch of pieces on the same model. Nothing is watermarked at either tier, on free credits included: every export is production grade and ready to ship.
Questions
Before you pay.
What is a credit, and what does one drawing cost?
A credit is the unit every run is priced in. One drawing is up to 16 pieces that share a palette and a light, or the backgrounds for a tour of up to 4 slides, for 10 credits on Standard. Other models and High quality cost more, and the price is shown before you draw.
Do credits expire or roll over?
Plan credits are granted when a billing period is paid for and expire when it ends. They do not roll over. Top-up credits and free credits never expire. When you draw, plan credits are spent first, so the credits that expire are used before the ones that keep.
What happens when I cancel?
Cancelling from your settings stops the next renewal. It does not end the period you have paid for: your plan credits stay usable until it ends. Everything you exported keeps working, because nothing in the export calls back to Prepaper.
What if a drawing fails?
A run that fails is refunded on its own. There is nothing to ask for. If a run stops after some of its images arrived, you keep those and the credits for the rest come back, in proportion to what was not delivered.
Who owns the artwork? Can I ship it in the App Store?
You do, and yes. The artwork, the pieces, the layouts and the exported component are yours to use however you like, commercially included, with no attribution, no watermark and no expiry: the file you export is the file you ship. Prepaper claims no ownership. Whether generated artwork can be copyrighted at all is decided by the law where you are.
Read the termsIs my project private?
Yes. Nobody sees a project unless you publish it, and listing it in the gallery is a second, separate choice. Listing a tour earns 10 credits once, for accounts that received the sign-up credits, and you can unlist it whenever you like.
Open the galleryWhat do I get for free?
20 credits when you sign up with an established GitHub account, no card needed, and an account that buys a plan gets them too. Listing a tour in the gallery earns 10 more. Free credits are capped at 30 in total, and without a plan every run uses the standard model.
How do top-ups differ from plan credits?
A plan is a monthly allowance at the lowest rate per credit. A top-up is a one-time block for a subscriber who runs out mid-month: $20 for 100 credits, the same rate at any size, never expiring, spent after plan credits. Buying one every month costs more than the next plan up.
What exactly is exported, and does it need Expo?
A tour exports as one prepaper-export/ folder: a React Native component in react-native/, a config file and transparent WebP pieces in assets/, with Reanimated the only runtime it expects. A carousel exports as PNGs beside its caption.txt. Screenshots export as PNGs in screenshots/en-US/ and play/en-US/images/phoneScreenshots/, the folders fastlane reads.
Does using it from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex cost the same?
Yes. The MCP server uses your account and your credits at the same prices as the studio. generate_props is the only tool that spends credits; listing, viewing, composing and exporting cost nothing, and it shows the price before it draws.
